8/9/2023 0 Comments Max homa fortinet![]() ![]() Over his last 24 rounds, Pendrith is first in the field in strokes gained off the tee and second in strokes gained tee to green. He made up for it late in the season with a great run of form that showed he could play well at many different course types. ![]() Taylor Pendrith +2500 was one of the PGA Tour rookies I was most excited to see last year, but he missed a large chunk of the season due to an injury early in the year. While Justin Suh, Austin Ecktroat and Taylor Montgomery want to pick up where they left off on the Korn Ferry Tour, players like Rickie Fowler, Jason Day, and Charley Hoffman want to play their way into forgetting last year or in some cases the last few years. It’s an important week for PGA Tour rookies and PGA Tour veterans hoping to jump-start their season. With all of the open spots available, we will see a lot of the Korn Ferry Tour graduates and some PGA Tour players well down the world ranking list. This past weekend, the DP World Tour’s BMW PGA Championship is another reason we aren’t seeing some of the big names to start the year. Many of the big names left on the PGA Tour decided to take this week off as next week is the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow in North Carolina. I’m not interested in betting Homa this week unless he has a great ball striking day on Thursday while not putting well and his odds to win jump up into the 30s. Homa has gone from a young gun with an amazing Twitter feed to being forced to be one of the faces of the new look PGA Tour with all of the LIV Golf defections. ![]() Homa comes into the week as the defending champion and the betting favorite alongside Hideki Matsuyama with both listed with 14-1 odds to win. ![]()
